Реконструкцијом теретне пруге у Смедереву овај део Србије постаје значајно чвориште железничког саобраћаја које повезује луку и индустријску зону. Осим тога реконструкција обухвата нову станичну зграду и измештање пруге далеко од Смедеревске тврђаве. Лука Смедерево се састоји из две целине, Старе и Нове Луке. Обе целине су потпуно опремљена постројења које железара и сви корисници индустриског парка користе за истовар сировина допремљених Дунавом, али и за утовар баржи за речни превоз производа купцима. У оквиру Старе Луке је и затворено складиште површине 420 квадратних метара. Нова Лука се налази у индустријској зони Смедерева поред аутопута Београд – Ниш. У плану је проширење капацитета Нове Луке због све већих потреба производње, а радови би требало да обухвате приступни пут, лучку инфраструктуру и комунално опремање.

With the reconstruction of the freight railway in Smederevo, this part of Serbia is becoming a significant hub of railway traffic that connects the port and the industrial zone. In addition, the reconstruction includes a new station building and the relocation of the railway far from the Smederevo fortress. The port of Smederevo consists of two parts, Old and New Port. Both units are fully equipped plants that the ironworks and all users of the industrial park use for unloading raw materials delivered by the Danube, but also for loading barges for river transport of products. A roofed warehouse of 420 square meters is located within Old Port. The New port is located in the industrial zone of Smederevo next to the Belgrade – Niš highway. The plan is to expand the capacity of New port due to the growing needs of production, and the works should include the access road, port infrastructure and communal equipment.
